Cowboys' WR Bryant injured
2010-07-30 20:05:00

San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Dallas Cowboys rookie wide receiver Dez Bryant will miss the next 4-to-6 weeks after spraining his right ankle during Friday's practice. Bryant was helped off the field after colliding with cornerback Orlando Scandrick toward the end of the session. He tried to get up, but sat back down and needed the help of trainers to move off the field.

An MRI revealed the dreaded high-ankle sprain. Bryant will spend the next two weeks in a walking boot and will likely miss the entire preseason.

The Cowboys selected Bryant with the 24th overall pick of the 2010 draft.
