A new station for Sussex EMS workers

Something had to be done. Sussex County EMS workers had outgrown their old facilities so a new one had to be built, from scratch. The new paramedic center, located in Laurel is energy efficient and designed to blend into the surrounding residential communities. Officials say it will also allow more efficient response to the areas currently served Medic- 102, which responded to more than 2-thousand emergencies in 2008. Although the facility is currently operational, the official grand opening ceremony takes place next Wednesday.
